Pink wedding for Lee Sin Jie
ALOR SETAR: The wedding of Malaysian actress-singer Angelica Lee Sin Jie and Hong Kong film director Oxide Pang Chun at the Pangkor Laut Resort off Pangkor Island is expected to be a romantic pink affair.
A close relative of Lee said female guests invited to the wedding were required to wear pink dresses.
Lee, 34, had taken her parents and three brothers on a shopping trip to Hong Kong recently where she bought them clothes for the reception.
Her mother, Ooi Yean Lee, however, declined to show the clothes when interviewed at her home here on Thursday night.
Lee's parents and 40 close family members would attend the wedding reception.
"I am very happy that my daughter is finally getting married. I hope they will have children soon. It doesn't matter whether they are boys or girls but better still if they get twins.
"Lee informed me and her father about her plans to get married last year and a date was fixed but the wedding was later postponed due to their tight work schedules. The latest date was chosen by both of them," she said.
Ooi said Pang got along well with all her family members.
"He had visited us many times during Chinese New Year. Everyone in the family likes him. We treat him like our own son," she added.
Lee has been going out with Pang for the past seven years. It is learnt that he proposed to her last year and both of them came here a few weeks ago to seek her parents' permission to tie the knot.
It has been reported that the couple has invited Hong Kong artistes Sylvia Chang Ai Jia, Aaron Kwok, Sandy Lam and Gigi Leong to the wedding.
