Wedding Themes That Suit Your Personality

Weddings aren't conformed to the traditional white wedding if you don't want it to be. If you're one of those couples looking to add a bit of ‘you' into your wedding, why not incorporate your personality or interests into your wedding to make it more memorable. Other than a destination wedding, here are some ideas for a truly unique wedding experience.

If you and your significant other have colourful personalities, why not let your personalities show in your wedding theme too?

Carnival
Mix in some of your childhood experiences and have a carnival themed wedding. Send out invitations resembling carnival tickets. Balloon artists, face painting, popcorn machines…anything you can think of and let your imagination go wild for this type of wedding. It also makes for a great interactive party.

Board Game
Love board games? Have a board game themed wedding! Scrabbles and Monopoly make for great theme ideas. For a Scrabbles themed wedding, use tiles to spell out guests' names to be used for seating arrangements. Another idea is to name each table after a property on the Monopoly board. There are no limits to creativity!

Hot Air Balloon
If you and your partner are the adventurous types, why not have a go at this idea and get married in a hot air balloon? It'll make for great pictures but if you prefer something safer, you could incorporate the hot air balloon idea into your wedding reception. For example, hot air balloon invitations, hot air balloon centerpieces and what about little hot air balloon boutonnières for the men? A cute yet modern idea.

Fairytale
So this may not sound like a truly unique wedding idea but it's the little details that count. What about making your grand entrance in a carriage? Or seating your VIP guests in a pumpkin carriage? Surely it will add that little pizzazz to your wedding reception.

Soft candlelight and gorgeous center pieces for a fairytale wedding

Finally, no matter what theme you decide to go with, be it traditional or modern; the most important element of your wedding will be the people attending. Having your closest and dearest attending the most important day of your life will make the memories last a lifetime.
