Don't You Want To Look Like A Model?

With the right hair style, make up and attire, you can make heads turn. Two CloveTwo readers found that out when they took part and won the ACM/CloveTwo Celebrates You Photo Contest which ran in April.
The winners of the April contest, title 'Faces' were 21-year-old Titim Yuliatim and 29-year-old Sofian Mat Saman. Those interested in the contest had to send in photos of themselves focusing on their face. Contestants were encouraged to send in as many photos with as many expressions they wanted. Winners were chosen for the highest number of votes.
ACM (Anyone Can Model), the brain child of Chapter One, a brand image consultancy group, wants to inspire people of all walks of life to feel good about their looks . The message they hope to send out is that you don't have to be tall and slim to be a model, all it takes is good style and proper make up, grooming and clothes to project that great image.
"I was truly inspired to see if I could really look like a model," Titim tells us during her make over session. "I decided to enter the contest to see how I look after the makeover," she adds. Titim from Seremban garnered 2,260 votes beating over 50 other entries.
IT officer Sofian from Putrajaya is not stranger to the contest. He and his wife Yuzaiyen Ismail were the winners for the February contest for the 'Best Couple' theme. "I really like this contest because it makes me food good," Sofian says of his win. "Sofian has been posting his pictures for all the contest hoping to win the make over," Yuzaiyen, who accompanied her husband to the make over, told us.
Both Titim and Sofian were taken to D'Element hair salon in Kota Damansara for the first phase of their make over. Sofian was given a quick trim, but Titim needed a trim as well as color to refresh her looks. Mandy Chia, co-owner of D'Element said the years of perming and rebonding had damaged Titim's hair. "All the perming and rebonding has certainly taken a toll on her hair. She needed a trim because her hair had become frizzy and tangled and a good hair colour will bring out that shine."
While Titim had her hair worked on, Sofian was whisked across the street to Perfect Runway for his photo shoot. There he met Lim Mi Mi from Styling Pavilion who gave Sofian a quick trim of his eyebrows. A little foundation and powder and Sofian was ready for his closeup. "I like all the fuss. It's a nice break from the usual routine," Sofian tells us gleefully.
Titim joined the photo shoot right after her hair styling session. "She's naturally attractive," says Mi Mi who used earthen colours to flatter Titim's tanned complexion. "I think her most beautiful features are her eyes and her lips, so I decided to accentuate them."
With very little make up, Titim was then dressed in two trendy outfits chosen especially for her by Evie Tham of Perfect Runway. "The colours of the outfits not only flatter her complexion, but she looks more confident in them," explains Evie.
Titim could not have agreed more. "I never imagined I could look this great. This is such a great opportunity for anyone," she gushed.
The ACM/CloveTwo contest is sponsored by Bizzy Body, Clairol, Origins, Clinelle and Wella. Winners also received products from the respective sponsors. ACM and CloveTwo are currently running the final contest this month. Titled 'My Celebrity Look Alike', the contest ends 27 June. If you've been told you look like a certain celebrity, we want to see your picture and the celebrity you think you look like. Entries with the most votes wins a make over, a photo shoot and other goodies worth RM500.
