Flat Feet

Finally, I did it.

Last week I twisted my ankle but continued to hobble around the city in my heels. All because I do not own any flat shoes/sandals/pumps. Forget about ballet pumps and Gladiator sandals - I am simply not a fan of flatties.  I’m also at least 174 cm tall. And to tell you the truth (well…almost), I’m so far away from 16 that that age in my life is a very distant, cobweb-by memory.

Anyway, the only flats I possess are my grungy flip-flops which I absolutely adore and a couple of surfing slippers, or whatever you call them, that I love. (I do not surf)

So, today I set out for Sunday lunch wearing an old pair rope sandals to match my white dress and, I’m surprised to say, my feet have never felt so comfortable.

I think this marks the return of the flatties in a big way.
