Responsibilities and Anxiety

Posted by: andrew william, 19-Mar-2008

When we face some major tasks or responsibilities, we get stressed and are anxious of the outcome, which can sometimes lead to depression.

The most common form of anxiety can be at work, new tasks, getting married, new partner, you name it. When the anxiety is not dealt with, it will lead to depression.

Depression can have adverse effects on your health. It’s best to avoid worrying about anything as much as possible. One good way to look at a problem is to break it down into manageable components, which you will find easier to solve than expected.

Don't worry about tomorrow, tomorrow has enough worries of it's own

They say 90% of the things you worry don’t come to pass. The reason is, our future is so complex and unpredictable that no one can really determine its outcome.

Well, we can guess to an extent of its outcome but not the details. But one thing for sure is we can make the outcome a positive one if we make the effort to solve it rather than worry over it. If you can’t do anything about it, leave it alone. By worrying you cannot change the outcome.

What doesn’t break you, makes you.

  • I totally agree with you Andrew...But sometimes it is easier said then done...Dont WORRY..dont THINK about it...everything is going to be ALRIGHT.. Everyone goes through this phase in life..so deal with it.But it is not going to be fine nor easy ...because you know why?? For once they want it to be about them...not the rest of the world.

For someone who is going through anxiety&depression...It is very difficult for them to separate anything...even more to analyze the issue.Because everything is an issue.!! I actually agree with you on the fact 90% of the things you worry don’t come to pass. But we still worry on it anyway. You know..just my 2 cents worth of thought..is that many ppl who i have come acrossed are lonely people. Lonliness kills!
As everyone is just too busy or even to take time to talk. That i feel is the root cause of all troubles. Yes of course, there are many other factors which contributes to this predicament,as some of my dear fellow'friends' have kindly put it.. but at the end of the day you just want to be appreaciated. How difficult is it to pick the phone and say hi.You know sometimes even one sms can do wonders..

If you can’t do anything about it, leave it alone. By worrying you cannot change the outcome. It is a good advice..It makes great sense. But personally..if you know anyone is going through depression....take time to talk, spend some time over coffee...trust me, you have done a great deed and saved someone from emptyness..

    Have a great day!
