One of Those Days

Have you ever woken up on one of those days where you don’t feel like doing your routine stuff? Just maybe sleep a little longer. Forget that healthy breakfast and head to the nearest mamak stall and have that roti chanai.
Oh, and those exercises, maybe just skip it today and do it tomorrow? Well if you have had that feeling, its perfectly o.k., if you have been one of those very disciplined persons who have a strict regime.
Life is never contained around regimental procedures. If we can’t take a break to just enjoy some of the luxuries , what then are we really living for? If good health and strength is what we want then the strict regiment is very important, but not to the extent you can’t be flexible once in a while, if not it will become a drag and you will feel why are you doing this in the first place.

You need to take a break
This is what experts call the 80:20 rule. It means stick to your regiment, exercises, food intake discipline at 80% and you are allowed to slack 20%. It means 80: 20 and not for the next few years live on the 20% region and then decide to switch to the 80% region discipline. You will probably have chronic health problems by then.
Science has already proven the direct co relationship between the food you take and the effects on your health. So be very careful what you have on a regular basis.

Give yourself a treat once in a while
When it comes to exercising, if your body just needs a break for the day, I suggest you don’t completely give up on the exercise. Just do it a little lighter. It’s a way of your body saying that it really needs that exercise not the other way around.
